Family photos documenting life’s important moments are precious. One of the biggest milestones we experience is having a baby, so capturing the memories before and after are priceless.

Maternity photos capture your beautiful baby bump and “mamma-to-be” glow. Newborn photos showcase the little miracle that you brought into this world. Together they display true love and what you’ve been through!

Years down the road when you look back on these photos, you can truly see how much your babies have grown. The tiny baby in the portrait has changed, matured and grown. That’s all the more reason to capture the priceless moments when they are young. They’re gone in an instant!

CREATING BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS OF YOUR FAMILY BEFORE AND AFTER THE BABY IS BORN IS PRECIOUS.

This particular mamma contacted me at 6 months pregnant with hopes of getting a maternity photoshoot scheduled. We arranged to meet 2 months later, but stayed in touch during that time in case the mum wanted to have the shoot earlier.

MATERNITY PHOTOS AT HOME

It turned out to be the perfect timing, mother was feeling great, despite the summer heat and we did half the shot at their home, and half at the beach. And the sun even came right at the end!

TAKE NEWBORN PHOTOS AT A TIME WHEN YOU FEEL IT WORKS BEST FOR YOU.

We originally planned to take newborn photos soon after the birth, but due to summer holidays and other things that got in the way these were taken at 2 months. But in the end, it turned out to be perfect timing, as this dynamic was precious to photograph since the parents were interacting with the baby who was already smiling!

Unfortunately I am not allowed to share the baby photos, but you get the idea..

These two maternity and newborn sessions tell a story of this lovely family and compliment one another. The two groups of photos will be perfect to create a photobook or in an album. The prints are bound to be cherished for generations to come, and I hope they are!
