These two were so great to work with. Were very open right from the start (even though mummy said they were a bit shy). They were playful and kind. Of course they were not always cooperative, and it wasn’t easy getting them into the shoot, but reading their favourite books and playing some fun games helped! So did climbing the couch and jumping up and down, but everyone loves that, right?

A PHOTOSHOOT IS ALL ABOUT QUALITY FAMILY TIME

Quite often couples are not sure if they want to book a maternity photoshoot, especially if they have already planned newborn photos. But remember that this time is so special, the woman’s body is amazing and capturing the glowing mamma to be is pure magic. But above all it’s about quality family time! Slow down for 1,5-2h and get some cuddles, laughs, tickles in before life becomes hectic again. And you’ll have some beautiful images to remember these fun times for the rest of your life.

Clients often ask what the best place for a maternity session is and I usually give them one answer: their home. I wrote a whole article about just that (check it out here) but in short: your home is the backdrop to your life and most of the amazing moments happen there. So why not incorporate it, so 20 years from now you can look back at the photos and see what your life actually looked like. It also means you don’t have to go anywhere so makes the process a whole lot easier for you!
